Photo taken October 2007. Pictured from left: Becky Close (holding Bunker, Sir Barks-a-Lot), Judy Burdis, Ken Close. Judy and Paul Burdis operated "Shop In The Woods" from the 1950's to the 1980's. Becky and Ken took over the shop in June 2007, using the name "Little Shop In The Woods".

"Shop In The Woods" was started in 1917 by Marion Howard to benefit Belgian Relief. The shop was located on what is now the West Side Road in North Conway. The shop was moved to what is now Route 16 between North Conway and Intervale, on property that once was part of Stonehurst Farm (now Stonehurst Manor).

Becky and Ken are working to continue the tradition of selling fine gifts and crafts from New Hampshire, New England and the world. Come and visit us the next time you are in the White Mountain region. Now located at our new shop in the center of North Conway Village.
